GRAND CRU COLLECTION

Deep ruby red color. Scents of cherry, redcurrant, violette with tobacco and dark chocolate fragrances. Elegant on the palate with a perfectly integrated tannic texture. Aftertaste with balsamic notes and very long finish.

It goes well with important dishes, such as traditional Italian meat main courses. Excellent with grills made from different breeds of beef such as angus, wagyu, ox nostral, longhorn, in various cuts such as Baltimore pit beef or picanha. Perfect for meditation, paired with a piece of good dark chocolate.

Product Details

The Vallepicciola estate spans approximately 107 hectares and is nestled in the rolling hills of Chianti Classico, 10 minutes from the city of Siena. This Toscana Rosso is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes sourced from the single vineyard Fontanelle. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels [50% new], the wine spends another 3 months in concrete tanks. An elegant expression of Sangiovese, evoking notes of cherries, redcurrants, dark chocolate, tobacco and a hint of balsamic.

Aging: In 50% new french oak barriques for 20 months

Extra aging: In concrete for 3 months

Longevity: More than 20 years
